We are so proud to live in and be a part of the best community in the world.
Habitat for Humanity
The Habitat for Humanity mission is that everyone should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live.
Since 2014, our office has been participating with the Schuyler County Habitat for Humanity project under the direction of Marion Nicastro. We formed a team and helped out over the summer with volunteer days at the work site.
The new family moved in over the summer of 2015. We look forward to helping with the next Habitat project.
Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes
In 2014, we participated, along with our patients, in the Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program. Our office was a card drop location for the program. We were so proud to be of assistance in helping Miss Sophie Kartzman to collect over 13,000 cards to send to our troops overseas and our veterans at home.
In 2015, we again were a card drop location for the Red Cross and Dream Big Sophie. The final total collected was 27,000 cards which were shipped to our soldiers all around the world with the assistance of WENY TV.
In 2016, the card drive collected 37,712 cards, and the grand total for the 4 years was 77,897 cards. Thanks to all of our patients for helping out to make the card drive a wonderful success.
Relay for Life
We were honored to be invited to participate with the Corning Painted Post 2015 Relay for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The event is geared toward cancer awareness and fighting back to Relay for a Cure to end this terrible disease. Teamed with the help of our patients, our office bake sale raised $361.00. We set up a booth with our friends and neighbors: A Touch of Tranquility Massage Therapy, Rochester Neurosurgery Partners, Dream Big Sophie, the Red Cross and ourselves, Corning Chiropractic Associates. We relayed with the community and proudly spent all night long at the event. Wow, it was cold but definitely worth it. The final total for the community event for 2015 was $100,000 raised for cancer awareness. Great job, everyone.
Corning Rotary and Corning Kiwanis
We are proud to be current members of both the Corning Rotary with Dr. David Kartzman and the Corning Kiwanis with Dr. Samuel Ascioti. As we have decided to try and continue to give back more to our community, we just could not decide which organization to join since they both do such wonderful things. So when in doubt, we decided to have a friendly in-office competition and join both.
Community Health Fairs
Our office has always been at the forefront of educating our patients and community, not only about chiropractic but also how to take an active role in your own personal healthcare. In today’s world of opiate addictions, understanding your spinal health and overall health becomes more vital each and every day. So often you will see us out in our community at local health fairs meeting people and answering questions. Many thanks to all of those groups that invite us. We really enjoy getting a chance to meet and talk with everyone in our community.
